About – Aegean Gold SA

We import the best Quality Greek food product

Its name means, “emerging from the Aegean”. It is a tribute to the origins of the Protoulis family.

Panagiotis Protoulis first imported the Aegean Gold Olive oil into South Africa in 2002. It started as a shipment of just 100 cases to share amongst those who knew the family.

The demand for the bespoke Protoulis olive oil in South Africa was apparent.

In 2011 his daughter Marina Protoulis proudly took over the family import business and ventured off, bringing in a wider variety of greek products.

We are proud to be part of the Protoulis olive oil journey & legacy.

One of our goals: We will continue to find and select only the best quality greek food products.
